Immunity Tea Recipe

Feeling under the weather or simply want to alkalize your body + boost your immunity? Sip on this hot + spicy combo of alkalizing + anti-inflammatory ingredients to feel better faster! Drink it daily to prevent a cold + more frequently when your immune system needs a boost. The best part is that it works if you’re already sick!

What You Need

  • Teapot
  • Mug
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • Hot, Filtered Water
  • 1 Tbsp. (heaping) Fresh Ginger, chopped
  • Juice of ½ Lemon, Freshly Squeezed
  • Dash of Cayenne Pepper
  • Stevia to taste
  • Astragalus Extract (Optional)

Tips

  • Do this in the proper order so you don’t destroy the live enzymes.
  • Use hot (not boiling) water – turn it off right before it comes to a boil.
  • Always choose the highest quality of fresh, organic ingredients when possible.
  • Aatragalus Extract can be purchased at Mountain Rose Herbs or on Amazon.
  • Drink this first thing in the morning, or anytime when feeling under the weather.
  • For an extra, super immunity boost – add Astragalus Extract. Follow the directions on the bottle.

 Instructions

  1. Peel + chop Ginger into large enough chunks, so the pieces sink instead of float
  2. Pour hot water over Ginger.
  3. Steep for 2 minutes
  4. Add Lemon Juice
  5. Add a dash of Cayenne Pepper
  6. Add Stevia to taste
  7. Mix
  8. Drink

Why It’s Good For You

HOT WATER – slightly increases body temperature (creating a mini-fever), to purify the bloodstream by sweating out toxins. It also helps cleanse the nasal cavity congestion by opening up mucous membranes.

GINGER – is anti-inflammatory + has a warming effect while it promotes circulation, ridding the body of toxins. It also improves nutrient absorption + helps with nausea, sore throats, aching muscles, joint pain + clearing sinuses.

LEMONS – are packed with over 200 enzymes to help restore liver function, balance pH + boost the immune system. They’re also high in Vitamin C + potassium, are extremely alkalizing when metabolized, hydrate the lymphatic system, aid in digestion, weight loss + clear skin.
