    Love this post.
Let me ask you this something. I jumped on the bentonite clay mask bandwagon a while ago and I’ve tried making masks with it with just water, adding ACV, adding honey, glycerine, etc. in varies efforts to try to make it less drying. I’ve failed in all my efforts. I’ve given away one container (the brand you posted) and I still have another brand that was sent to me left unloved in my cabinet. I feel like those with dry skin will be hard pressed to use this as a facial mask with much success. (I felt like the crypt keeper afterwards). Advice?

      Hey Paula! :)

When I started using Aztec Secret a few years ago, I originally had oily, combo skin. Now, after cleaning up my beauty routine my skin is a more balanced, + I tend to lean a little more to the dry side. I haven’t noticed any issues of dryness with using this though. However, my pampering ritual might make all the difference… before every mask I always do a facial steam to open my pores, a scrub to get rid of dry, dead skin, then apply the mask + finish up with a heavy-duty moisturizer (like a balm that includes beeswax – i.e., Egyptian Magic, Waxelene, etc.) on damp skin to really seal in moisture to help with new skin cell turnover. I usually mix the mask with a toner, hydrosol, ACV, Honey or even a few drops of a facial oil, depending on my mood.

      Hope this helps! XO <3

Great post! I mix the Azrec Healing Clay with aloe vera gel and apple cider vinegar as a face mask or just a pimple treatment.

I love your writing style :) So fun and instructive!
I started using the Aztec clay mask recently and it is awesome. As for Desert Essence, they have so many great products! The blemish touch stick has been a life saver of mine for some years.
    Thank you for sharing!

Hi Shivani! :) I wish I could, but I’m really not too familiar with any natural or organic French brands just yet. I’ll keep you posted if I find any though! XO <3

I’m retired from the beauty biz and I’ve tried a zillion products. I’m a mom now and I still take good care of my skin. In the past I’ve used(and sold) most of the big name products. I was on the hunt for a really good moisturizer that was also a good buy. The BEST product I can recommend is the Made from Earth Vitamin C Moisturizer. I combine it with their Green Tea Toxin Cleanser and I’m good to go. My skin is glowing!

No need to spend big bucks on costly department store brands.

I really like Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel toner. I makes my skin incredibly soft. And it is at my budget price too! Love your blog. I have tried to buy the set from Acure to support your fight with breast cancer, but it is sold out. I’ll keep checking! Best to you and yours!
