Here are a few mini reviews of some of things I snagged on my recent spending spree over at Luckyvitamin.com! Check it out…
- EO Ageless Skin Care Coconut Cleansing Milk with Hibiscus + Mango Seed Butter – My go-to Facial Cleansing Cream / Makeup Remover for the past 2 years (aka, what I use in between trying everything else on my endless hunt for theeeeee perfect facial cleanser + makeup remover, all-in-one!). Mango Seed Butter, Argan, Coconut + Pumpkin Seed Oils replenish the skin’s moisture barrier, while the Coconut unclogs pores for brighter, more revitalized skin. Hibiscus extract, Mango Seed Butter + essential oils of Rose, Ylang Ylang + Vetiver give this a subtle scent, but nothing really noticeable or bothersome to me, which is great. What I love most… is that it’s really gentle, but definitely gets the job done! On a wet face, I massage 7-10 pumps of cleanser (pumps are super-small) onto my skin, focusing mainly on my eyes, + gently rubbing my lashes between my fingers, and along my lash line. Next, I wipe it all away with a warm washcloth. It’s honestly been the only one I’ve found (until recently) that completely gets rid of all of my eye makeup in one shot – liquid liner, mascara, etc + doesn’t bother my eyes! And… it doesn’t dry out my skin either! Win-win if you ask me. Pro-Tip though: If I need a little extra help removing anything, I just add a drop or two of Jojoba Oil into my hand + mix it with the cleanser before applying!
- Health From The Sun FiProFlax Organic Flax Seeds – My doctor recommended this brand of premium, organic, cold-milled Flax Seeds instead of Flax Seed Oil (because it goes rancid very quickly) back when I first went on a strict, Anti-inflammatory Diet… and, I’ve been using them ever since! Over the years, I’ve tried numerous other brands + in my opinion, nothing truly compares. In addition to all of the nutritional benefits – easily digestible, high fiber, omega-3, protein + lignan content, I’ve found that they really help me control Hormonal Acne, Breakouts, PMS, etc… probably more than anything topical ever has. To see how they may help with Hormonal Acne + Estrogen Dominance, check out this article! FYI, the brand she’s talking about is another good one, but I like these better. I just add 2 Tbsps into my smoothies, on top of my yogurt, oatmeal, etc. + I’m good to go. The key is consistency though. These come in a vacuum-sealed pouch + have a mild, nutty flavor. And, I store them in my freezer so they stay fresh!
- Essential Oxygen Organic Brushing Rinse – This is another go-to that I’ve been using for the past few years! On my last dentist visit, it was suggested that I swish a cap full of Hydrogen Peroxide to help with whiten my teeth naturally + help with bleeding gums, etc. Not feeling totally comfortable using the stuff from the brown bottles in my mouth… I did a little research + found out that it actually can contain stabilizers, toxic additives + heavy metals. So, I was happy to find this 2-in-1 combo, which also happens to help with sensitivity too. 2 birds, one stone.
- Moon Valley Organics Foaming Herbal Hand Soap – Let me just start out by saying that I love Moon Valley Organics! Their super-smooth + velvety Hand Soap is one of my absolute FAVES – made with Certified Organic + Gluten-Free ingredients… Calendula + the healing, soothing powers of Comfrey… that smell soooo good + don’t dry out my hands! At this point, I think I’ve tried every scent they offer, but the Orange Spice is definitely my main squeeze! I’ve also used the Unscented one as a Facial Cleanser in a pinch (#beautyhack), + it surprisingly removed all of my makeup! We also recently started purchasing the 3x Refill Pouches (a much better deal, BTW!), which stand up on their own for easy storage, have a resealable twist cap, + refills the Foaming Herbal Hand Soap bottle 3 times. You just add 1/3 of the concentrate to your bottle + fill the rest with filtered water!
- Generation Klean Gray Disappear – These days, I could seriously color my hair every 2 weeks. Instead, I use this + can stretch it out a little longer – lessening my exposure to toxic hair dye chemicals. This root touch-up is the cleanest natural one I’ve found that doesn’t flake. It’s basically a hair mascara that covers well, dries quickly, + washes out with Soap or Face Wash (around the hair line), Shampoo, or even Makeup Remover. I usually use the color Espresso (Brown), but I’ve also used Blaze (Red) in the past too. I kind of wish there was a color in between though, + more shade options. I also heard if you buy a shade lighter, you can create temporary highlights, + of course, men can use this too!
